Following the successful launch of the Netflix series One Piece, the second season has already been confirmed. The actors are hoping for a very special guest appearance
After the Netflix series One Piece was renewed for a second season just two weeks after its launch, fans around the world are eager to see which well-known stars will appear in the pirate world.
But it’s not just the viewers, but also the current actors of the live-action series who are announcing their very specific star wish – and they are no strangers.

“Danny, please join the show!”
The actors of Luffy and Usopp were also present at an interview at the premiere of the new Netflix series Avatar: Iñaki Godoy and Jacob Romero. Deadline Hollywood posted the interview on their official X account (formerly Twitter):

When asked what special guest appearances they would like to see in the second season of One Piece, both promptly call out the name of legendary actor Danny DeVito and Romero adds:
We would love to find a way to bring Danny DeVito into One Piece somehow.
Godoy also emphasizes that he would really do anything with Danny DeVito in it. He also has a direct message for the Hollywood actor:
If you see this, Danny, please join the show. We can do anything. You can play whoever you want. Just come here!
What role DeVito could play, the two of them don’t know at first – but the One Piece community already has a very clear idea.
Fans find the perfect role for Danny DeVito
Under the X-Post and also already in a separate Reddit thread the One Piece fans are already listing some roles that DeVito could take on. The character Wapol is mentioned most frequently, just as the user that_sergal responded to X with a picture and the caption: “Danny DeVito for Wapol”:

Wapol plays the main villain of the Drum Kingdom in the anime, who later gets into a good fight with the Straw Hat Gang and especially Luffy.
Other roles that the community considers suitable for DeVito are as follows:

- Dr. Hogback
At the moment there is no official release date. Through the official announcement by One Piece creator Eiichirō Oda and the series team, we only know concretely that Chopper will join the Straw Hats in the second season and that Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Kureha is firmly planned into the sequel.
