The beta of New World has also had an impact on the bestseller list on Steam. Behind it there is also a lot of movement.

Not for the first time, the Steam charts represent the developments of the past few days in the form of numerous shifts and a new frontrunner. After last week’s bestseller list was exceptionally devoid of the old warhorses GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, the perennial favourites are making a comeback.

New World at the top twice

When a game already claws its way into first place, you’d think it would at least clear the rest of the podium for other titles. But New World shows no mercy and not only grabs the top step, but also takes second place at the same time. The reason for this is that in addition to the normal version, the deluxe version also sells well.

How good is New World? We have already played the upcoming Amazon MMO and are very impressed with many aspects. Nevertheless, the game is definitely not for everyone.

Behind the frontrunner, the latest RimWorld DLC entitled “Ideology” can enjoy the last remaining podium spot. The sci-fi colony sim is still thrilling numerous players on Steam and therefore comes in with “extremely positive” reviews both recently and overall.

A crow makes it into the top 10

There was a lot of movement up and down in the places behind. The biggest loser is Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which was at the top last week and has now slipped to 8th place. F1 2021 was overtaken by the competition even without DRS and thus slips to 4th place.

There are also two new entries: the crow adventure Death’s Door can make a passable sales start and thus claw its way into 9th place. In tenth place, the open-world zombie thriller Days Gone can celebrate a small comeback. The Valve Index VR kit makes up one position and jumps to 5th place.
