The highlight of the week: 007 First Light
(Genre: Stealth Action Adventure –Developer: IO Interactive –Release: May 27, 2026 (Steam)
007 First Lighttells a new origin story centered on a young James Bond who has yet to earn his 00 status. Instead of gliding through casino lounges in a sharp suit, you start as a talented but still unpolished recruit in the MI6 training program.
In terms of gameplay, this sounds like a really strong mix:IO Interactive combines a cinematic third-person adventure with the very stealth and improvisation mechanics for which the studio has been known for years with Hitman.
007 First Light doesn’t want to be just another straightforward cover-based shooter with a Bond veneer. Instead, the focus is on espionage, gadgets, multiple solutions, and missions across the globe—precisely the ingredients that, ideally, make for a fantastic spy thriller.
If you liked the Hitman series but are craving more story, more spectacle, and a more classic AAA adventure, then this game belongs on your watchlist. But it’s probably already there for many of you anyway, since 007 First Light recently ranked very high in oursurveyanyway.

- Paralives(Early Access) : The highly anticipated life sim is finally launching on Steam. Just like in The Sims and Inzoi, you build your dream homes and guide your characters through careers, relationships, and everyday dramas in an open-world city.
- Romestead (Early Access): Here, a Roman setting meets survival, crafting, and a zombie apocalypse. Alone or in co-op with up to eight players, you build settlements, gather resources, restore the favor of the gods, and can even enjoy a bit of farming on the side.
- Teamfight Manager 2(Early Access): The management sim centered around a virtual esports team enters its second round. You’ll build your roster, refine drafts and tactics, and lead your squad to the MOBA Olympus.
- Enter the Chronosphere(Early Access): This game blends roguelike shooters, bullet hell, and turn-based tactics into a rather unique package. A particularly clever twist is that the world only keeps spinning with your movements.

- World of Tanks: HEAT: Wargaming is trying its hand at a hero-based tank action game with a free-to-play model. Instead of just pushing metal around, you choose agents with unique abilities, customize your tank, and engage in faster, more arcade-style team battles than in the classic World of Tanks.
- LumenTale: Memories of Trey: If you’re in the mood for a monster-collecting RPG, here’s a promising candidate. Your hero travels through a colorful fantasy world, befriends the so-called Animon, and tries to recover his lost memories.
- Stonemachia: A dark action-adventure with a Souls-like vibe that sends you into a devastated world as a chess pawn. The unique twist: Your hero can transform into other chess pieces, adding a delightfully quirky touch to the combat system and exploration.
- Birdwatching Notebook: This is the complete opposite of the usual action-packed noise on Steam. You turn your balcony into a cozy observation spot, attract birds, photograph them, and let the whole thing run as a cute desktop companion at the edge of your screen.
Wednesday, May 27, 2026
- Starminer(Early Access): Starminer sounds like a dangerously good time-sink for fans of space sandbox games. You build modular fleets and stations, mine asteroids, optimize resource flows, and must also protect your mining operation against alien threats.

- Cheap Car Repair: This garage sim sends you to 1990s Poland and has you running a car repair shop while looking for ways to cut costs wherever possible. That sounds like a good dose of Eastern European humor.
- Mina the Hollower: From the creators of Shovel Knight comes a dark action-adventure featuring pixel art, a whip, and a burrowing mechanic. Mina burrows her way under enemies and obstacles, collects gear, and faces a cursed island full of monsters and bosses—this should be a top contender for retro fans.
- Crashout Crew: A cooperative chaos game centered around forklifts. With up to four players, you race through an absurdly dangerous warehouse, drift around in your vehicles, and try to somehow complete increasingly absurd delivery orders.
- Scale the Depths: A small but clever-sounding fishing game with a very clear gameplay loop: fish, scale, sell, upgrade, repeat. This is likely exactly the kind of relaxing after-work game that lets you discover a few secrets beneath the water’s surface along the way.
Friday, May 29, 2026
- Frontier Legends(Early Access) : To wrap up the week, an open-world Wild West adventure with survival, crafting, and multiplayer elements is set to launch. You’ll build your own settlement, recruit NPCs, tame horses, and decide for yourself whether you want to be a lawman, a trader, or a bandit.
- Path of Exile 2 – Return of the Ancients: Not a new game, but since we’ve seen so many comments about how excited you are for themega update, here’s a quick reminder: It starts Friday at 10 PM!
As always: Have fun browsing, adding to your wish lists, and trying things out. Feel free to let us know in the comments which game is at the top of your list this week—Bond, Paralives, or perhaps one of the lesser-known hidden gems?
You can check out an overview of all the major new games of the month one last time in the video above before we continue with June next week.
