We show you the most exciting new games coming to Steam this week. Among the releases is the most anticipated game on Steam

It”s that time of the week again: A new week is coming and with it heaps of new games on Steam. Like every Monday, we present you with the most exciting releases of the week. And this time we have a true, but highly controversial highlight with us. Is the second masterpiece of the year waiting here after the remake of Dead Space?

Highlight of the week: Hogwarts Legacy

Genre: Open-world role-playing game – Developer: Avalanche Software – Release: February 10, 2023 (get the game on Steam)

Harry Potter fans have been waiting for a game like this for years: In Hogwarts Legacy you can freely explore the wizarding school Hogwarts and adjacent areas yourself and do everything that belongs to the everyday life of a wizard student: You create your own character and can use it to brew potions, master spells and find fantastic animal creatures.

The story is set in the 19th century, so you won”t meet many familiar characters like Harry, Ron and Hermione. Instead, a completely independent story will be told, in which your hero gradually learns more about his special powers.

Whether the whole thing will ultimately be a great game or just a mediocre open world with great scenery!

More Releases of the Week

Monday, February 6

(Yggdra Union) (Early Access): The Japanese tactical role-playing game originally appeared for the Gameboy Advance. In terms of gameplay, the title is reminiscent of Fire Emblem, but the PC version is significantly spruced up and also gets many gameplay improvements and convenience features.

(Spikair Volleyball) (Early Access): In this volleyball game, you create your own club, recruit players, train them and then hopefully win many tournaments.

(Meet Your Maker) (Open Beta): Here you have to build huge bases and equip them with traps and guards, which are then raided by other players. Of course, you will also have to attack enemy bases. The open beta will run from 6 to 13 February.

We”ve been given priority access to the beta – if you want to see the game”s creative director cut his teeth on our first little base, watch the following video:

Tuesday, February 7

(Scorchlands) (Early Access): In this hex-based building game, you”ll transform a barren desert planet into a glorious world.

Wednesday, February 8

(Drawing From Memory): In this party game, you have to draw well-known characters from memory

Thursday, 9 February

(Trash Truck Simulator): We are the six from trash collection, trash collection, trash collection … – By now there is a simulator for almost everything. Here you collect rubbish bags and bulky waste from the side of the road, which is then crushed in your rubbish truck in real time.

Friday, February 10

(Bumblebee – Little Bee Adventure): In this cute flight simulator you have to find a new home as a little bee. There are no enemies, the focus is clearly on relaxation

Now. the selection of exciting new releases is actually limited this week – probably all games just want to avoid the release of Hogwarts Legacy. Will you be exploring the castle of the wizarding school? Or has another title caught your interest? Let us know in the comments!
