This week”s Steam releases include three strong strategy games and a shooter heavyweight.

After last week”s blockbuster games, this week”s releases continue. Especially shooter and strategy fans can look forward to exciting releases.

The highlight of the week – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

(Genre: Shooter – Developer: Infinity Ward – Release: Oct 28, 2022 (Steam))

After pre-orderers have already been able to play the single-player campaign since last week, this week on 28 October at 7pm it will also start for everyone else. The long-awaited multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will also be available from the day of release. The preload for the PC starts on 26 October at 7 p.m.

The Strategy Highlights of the Week

Victoria 3

(Genre: Global Strategy – Developer: Paradox – Release: Oct 25, 2022 (Steam))

In Victoria 3 you take over the destiny of a nation and have to lead it to success. Just like in Civilization and other global strategy games, this is not only done with war – in Victoria 3, politics, economics and society play a decisive role.

Victoria 3 has what it takes to become the best strategy game of the year – our author Thomas is pretty sure of that after more than 40 hours of play:(Victoria 3).

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

(Genre: Strategy RPG – Developer: TaleWorlds – Release: October 25, 2022 (Steam))

After more than two and a half years in Early Access, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is finally finished and leaving Early Access. What started as a technically mixed project has developed greatly through dozens of updates.

Cosmoteer

(Genre: Space Strategy – Developer: Walternate Realities – Release: October 24, 2022 (Steam – Early Access))

A genuine indie secret tip also makes it to the highlights. In Cosmoteer you conquer the galaxy – in a spaceship you build yourself! With the help of an intuitive tool, you can design your own ship or even an entire fleet, plus many other strategy elements such as crew management and, of course, endless space battles.
