Rumor has it that the next project from the BG3 developers is behind the enigmatic teaser. Nothing has been confirmed, but the clues seem surprisingly clear.

So what’s the deal with the demon statue that Geoff Keighley recently unveiled? We’ll find out at the latest at The Game Awards 2025, which will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2 a.m. (in our time zone). Of course, the wildest speculations are circulating: Diablo? Something new from FromSoftware? Something to do with Elder Scrolls 6?

Now the truth is supposed to have come to light. Role-playing fans, you’d better sit down for a moment. Ready? Good.

The statue is supposed to reveal a new game from Larian. Specifically, a new Divinity.

Why do people believe this, what reliable evidence is there, and what do we already know about the next work from the studio behind Baldur’s Gate 3? You can find all the important information here.

Really a new Larian game?

It hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the clues are very clear – our colleagues at mp1st discovered it. There are three new copyright entries from a German law firm that has handled such matters for Larian in the past.

One of these entries is titled Divinity and displays this logo:

According to the “Goods and Services” section, this applies to video games, comic books, board games, art books, collectible figures, merchandise such as clothing, and so on. However, this does not necessarily mean that all of these items are actually in the works; the copyright simply secures the rights of reservation.

Now to the statue: The same company has a further entry that does not bear the name Divinity, but shows this symbol here and is intended to apply to exactly the same areas as the submission described above.

For comparison, you can see the Game Awards statue next to it. It couldn’t be clearer, see for yourself:

The third entry shows yet another image. A spider’s web with a figure in it?

This leaves little doubt that this is indeed a new Divinity announcement that will take place at The Game Awards 2025. But what exactly is behind it remains exciting.

No Original Sin 3, according to Larian

Larian’s Publishing Director, Michael Douse, writes in response to a fan’s question at Twitter“There are currently no plans for a new Divinity Original Sin 3 game, but as soon as we are ready to show you what we are working on, we will do so.”

This is, of course, a very specific statement, but one that explicitly refers to Original Sin.& nbsp; And Divinity is more than just that – some of you may still remember Divine Divinity or Divinity 2: Ego Draconis .

So is Larian building on these past titles? Is something completely new coming from the fantasy universe?

What we know so far about Larian’s next game: The studio has already announced that it is working on two new role-playing games, that it will not be a new Baldur’s Gate, and that its next project is set to be extremely ambitious, even more so than BG3.

In all likelihood, they want to start with a long early access phase again. Maybe we’ll get a first glimpse in just a few days!
