A dubious game with Nathan Drake as the main character has appeared on the PlayStation Store of all places.
Ten years have passed since Nathan Drake experienced his last great adventure inUncharted 4 . Apparently, however, he can’t live well enough on the riches he has amassed, as his face was recently spotted in a completely new game cosmos.
A title has appeared on the PlayStation Store that features the treasure hunter in the lead role of a survival horror game, but it’s far from an official spin-off.
“PlayStation should be ashamed of itself”
The game28 Floors: Outbreakby developer Witenovastudio isannounced on the storefor 2027. If you click on the link now, you’ll rightly ask yourself: “Huh? Where’s Nathan Drake supposed to be?” Because you can’t see him at all.
The developer has since replaced the display image following the outcry on social media. A few days ago, the page still looked like this:

The protagonist’s head here still bore a striking resemblance to our historical artifact salvage specialist, and the community found it only mildly amusing. In the comments below the thread, the reactions are divided between mockery and serious disappointment in Sony and PlayStation respectively.
More recently, however, the developer has attracted attention forAI-generated promotional clipsfor new games.
Sony has already taken action against Shovelware games several times and has taken them out of circulation one after the other, as you can read in the articles linked below. The extent to which 28 Floors: Outbreak also falls into this category cannot yet be determined.
According to the store page, in the game you have to fight your way through the 28 floors of a collapsing laboratory to the roof. While you prove your worth against biomutations, other survivors cling to your strong arms and need to be rescued. As the whole thing is supposed to take place from a first-person perspective, there will probably be nothing to see of Nathan Drake in the game.
Unless Sony puts a stop to this, we will probably not find out until 2027, when the game is due to be released. Or we may never hear anything about 28 Floors: Outbreak again for other reasons.
