Gearbox Publishing released a gameplay overview trailer for Have a Nice Death at the weekend. It shows all the important gameplay features before the roguelike soon leaves Early Access.

Have a Nice Death has been in Steam Early Access since the beginning of this month. The day after tomorrow, the game by Magic Design Studios will leave this status and let you clean up the afterlife properly!

In this 2D-Rogulelike you take on the role of Death himself, the CEO of Death Inc. When the paperwork to manage the souls gets out of hand, he creates the Soul Collectors to support him in his work. But after a while they show themselves to be quite disobedient, which is why it is now your task to clean up the seven departments of the afterlife. Once this work is done, you can finally enjoy your well-deserved holiday.

If you want to get to grips with the pests of Have a Nice Death, you can make use of the extensive arsenal, which consists of 70 available weapons and spells. If you fail on a floor, you will receive gold bars in the subsequent achievement rating, which you can use to buy upgrades for your equipment.

The levels are procedurally generated so that you don’t get bored while repeatedly beating your way through the seven departments of the afterlife. New environments await you with every attempt, which ensure varied gameplay.

Have a Nice Death wants to pick up bloody beginners as well as experienced deathbringers with its different gameplay modes. Therefore, in addition to the standard difficulty “Impending Collapse”, there is also the beginner-friendly mode “Self-fulfilment”. On top of that, there are 15 collapse modes to challenge yourself to become the ultimate CEO.

On March22 Have a Nice Death will be released for PC and the Nintendo Switch.
