Whether Valve will ever release a Half-Life 3 is written in the stars. However, a 3D artist now shows what a third installment of the popular series could look like

What would aHalf-Life 3look like? We’ll probably never know, because back in 2020 Valve explainedwhy the legendary game never appeared.

But what if, just hypothetically, Valve did have a third installment in the pipeline? What could the trailer for it look like?

What could a possible trailer look like?

This is the question posed by 3D artist Unknown Dino on X (formerly Twitter) and he also provides the corresponding answer.

Because what the artist, whose real name is Donald Çela, has uploaded to hisYoutube channel Unknown Dinoshould make Half-Life fans’ hearts beat fasterBecause Donald’s trailer demonstrates what a sequel to Half-Life 2 could look like.

The trailer presents the world of the alien species Combine. In fast camera movements and wide-angle shots, it shows how the alien species prepares to take control of Earth once again.

Fans of the series will recognize old acquaintances from the games. During the tracking shot at the beginning of the trailer, for example, the iconic headcrabs can be seen, and a little later Strider stalks through the picture on her three oversized legs.

Half-Life hero Gordon Freeman also plays a role in the trailer. But see for yourself:

The trailer is produced in an impressive quality considering that it is purely a fan project. Donald Çela alias Unknown Dino manages to tell a little story in the three-minute film – visually and aurally.

There is currently no information on whether further projects in this regard can be expected from the 3D artist. On Twitter, at least, Unknown Dino announced that he would be taking a break for the time being and perhaps pick up the topic again later. How do you like his trailer?
