Gothic Remake: A Collector’s Edition

The longing for the Gothic Remake is growing by the day, but despite the expectations and speculations, an official release date is still missing. Nevertheless, THQ Nordic surprises fans with an announcement that makes many a Gothic lover go weak at the knees: A chic Collector’s Edition promises to sweeten the wait a little.

A look at the contents of the Collector’s Edition

What can fans expect in this exclusive edition? In addition to the full version of the remake, it includes a sleeper mask with matching wall mount, a notebook and a real leather wristband as well as the game’s soundtrack. Particularly interesting: PC players also receive the game physically on DVD, which is a rarity these days.

The costs and challenges of pre-ordering

However, the exclusivity of the Collector’s Edition also comes at a price. At a hefty 199.99 euros, it is no bargain, but for true fans, the value may lie in the extras included. The edition is limited to 7,500 pieces, which makes the collector’s edition a coveted item. However, pre-ordering also involves risks, as delivery remains uncertain without a fixed release date. There is also a lack of meaningful gameplay trailers that could offer a foretaste of the remake
