Right now, you can grab Echo Generation and Luto for 0 euros.

Can you smell it, too? It’s the unmistakable fresh scent of Thursday—the day before Friday, when the weekend is just around the corner. And if you don’t have any plans yet, Epic has just the right inspiration for you: free games!

You have until July 23, 2026, at 4:59 p.m. to claim two free games. This time, it’s Echo Generation Midnight Edition and Luto.

Echo Generation: Midnight Edition

In the style of Stranger Things, Echo Generation puts you in the shoes of children who uncover dark mysteries in the 1990s.

After a strange UFO crash, your hometown is overrun with crude machine creatures, which you’ll give a run for their money in turn-based battles alongside pets and other companions. To do so, you’ll improve your abilities by collecting comic books and completing mini-games you’ll find while exploring the city.

The Midnight Edition is a sort of mini-remaster of the original adventure, featuring several quality-of-life improvements, such as fast travel and a quest tracker.

Luto

If you’re in the mood for a “more grown-up” kind of scare, then Luto is sure to satisfy that craving. This psychological horror game follows in the footsteps of Visage and Silent Hill P.T., since you don’t do much more than walk through the hallways of your apartment—creepy!

Well, there’s actually a bit more to it than that. Your daily routine gets a little creepier every day, as things aren’t where you left them and you hear strange noises coming from the basement. The game delves into the main character’s dark trauma.

If our horror expert Natalie has her way, you definitely shouldn’t pass up this Epic giveaway.

Free on Steam

Epic isn’t the only one playing the benefactor this week.On Steam, you can grab and keep the party game Catch Me until July 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Here, you play tag with your friends in a 2D arena and sabotage each other with items.

If you still haven’t found the right game for the weekend, just check out the link box above. There you’ll find current deals and new releases on Steam.
