In order to craft high-quality weapon mods, you need a whole bunch of zombie trophies. We present you with the perfect spot to farm the infected.

In the beginning, you can get by without modified weapons for quite a while in Dying Light 2. But at the latest when you arrive in the Central Loop, you should properly equip your machetes and butts with mods in order to have a chance against heavy enemies. However, since the mods don’t do too much damage on the first level, they need to be upgraded soon.

Each mod has a total of ten levels, which logically require more and more materials. For the last level, for example, you need 100 unusual zombie trophies. If you want to level up more than one modification, you can’t avoid farming infected people.

The perfect spot to farm risk-free zombies

Reddit user (WeatherSorry) has found an extremely good spot that makes it dead easy to take down the fast infected without ever having to use a weapon.

What makes the spot so good?

The large open street in front of the fortress gives you a good overview of which direction the zombies are coming at you from. The fact that the entrance is on the same level is another advantage. Furthermore, the UV light takes up a large area, which is why you can hardly throw infected people next to it. And last but not least, you can easily run into the UV light if the situation gets too chaotic.

The location on the map

Once in the Central Loop, head to the northeastern edge of the map. In the district of The Wharf you will find the floating PK fortress. It has two entrances, of which the southern one is best suited for our farm tactics.

You will unlock the PK floating fortress once you reach Central Loop.

Prerequisites

  • Progress in the main story: You must play the story of Dying Light 2 at least to the point where you reach Central Loop, as the spot is in the second section.
  • Skills: You will need the two skills Throw and Grip Throw to be able to throw the zombies far enough into the UV light.
  • Health: A certain amount of health can’t hurt either, as you’re sure to take a hit or two.
  • Gadgets (Optional) : With firecrackers or grenades you can easily attract the attention of the zombies.

Fortunately, the required skills Throw and Grip Throw are right in the first row of the battle tree and quickly unlockable.
