This week, grab the freaky co-op shooter Borderlands 3, the zoo builder Planet Zoo and the turn-based strategy smash XCOM 2 at discounted prices.

This week, shoot it out in Borderlands 3’s all-in-one package, turn-based strategy fans rid the Earth of alien oppressors in XCOM 2, and the animal lovers among us build the zoo of their dreams in Planet Zoo.

Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition for €46.99

Five years it took, five long years we had to wait until Gearbox finally released a new part of the loot shooter series Borderlands after the fantastic second part and the somewhat weaker Pre-Sequel. But the wait was more than worth it for shooter fans and co-op fans alike.

Borderlands 3 punktet mit abgedrehten Waffen - und Gegnern.

Planet Zoo for €17.99

For a long time it looked as if we would have to bury our hopes of ever getting another successful zoo construction game. Until Frontier Development, the studio that had already successfully revived the theme park genre, came on the scene. Since then, Planet Zoo has turned out to be a fun mixture of micromanagement and open-air sandbox.

In Planet Zoo baut ihr den Zoo eurer Träume.

Here you can really build the zoo of your dreams and then watch the insanely realistic animated inhabitants play, eat and grow. You can customise every last detail of the enclosures according to your wishes. The basic game is currently available for €17.99; the expansion packs, which add new biomes and animal species, are also discounted by ten to 40%.

XCOM 2 for €11.99

XCOM: Enemy Unknown modernised turn-based strategy in 2012, and in 2016 developer Firaxis built on the strengths of the remake in XCOM 2, refining it in many ways. After we had to defend the Earth against aliens in the first part, we have long since lost this battle in the second spin-off. For us, this means: underground rebellion instead of defensive warfare!

In terms of the game, however, evolution instead of revolution is on the agenda. We still have to take care of our base, which is now a huge airship, manage our troops and finally command them in turn-based missions. The missions are still varied and action-packed, with sufficient tactical depth provided by the different classes, environments and enemy types. If you want the ultimate experience, you can also buy the fantastic DLC War of the Chosen for only €12.99 directly from Gamesplanet.
