A new sale starts in just a few hours and we’re already blasting out the entire info magazine so that you’re as well prepared as possible

A new Steam sale is just around the corner. This time it’s all about shooters, the genre in which our expert Phil could give you a lecture lasting several hours right off the bat.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to listen to him tell you about all the crazy things that happened in Helldivers 2 last night. We’ve been giving him our ear for that day in, day out. You’re here because you want to save money, right?

Then we’ll load up again and off we go

All info about the Steam FPS Fest

When does the sale start?

The sale starts on April 15th at 7 pm German time. Remember that Steam sometimes needs a few minutes to show all the offers. So you don’t have to rush to your computer with the chime of the bell.

And how long does the FPS Fest last? When does the sale end again?

On April 22 at the same time, i.e. 7 p.m., the sale will close its doors. So you don’t have to hurry, you can sleep on it for more than one night before opening your wallet. And of course you can also count on receiving a few recommendations from our editorial team

Is there a trailer that really packs a punch?

Yes, there is, hold on tight:

Which games are on offer?

Let’s finally get to the real reason we’re here: Shooters, and as cheap as possible. We don’t know the complete portfolio of reduced games yet, but some offers have already started:

  • Borderlands 3: The third part of the wacky loot shooter. Grab one of the countless weapons and have fun, because in this weird world hardly anything can be taken seriously anyway. (9 Euroreduced by 85 percent)
  • Warhammer 40k: Darktide: A franchise that enjoys great popularity on GlobalESportNews That’s why we can’t help but point out that the brutal co-op shooter Darktide has been reduced. Our test says: Atmosphere top, gameplay with flaws. (24 eurosreduced by 40 percent)
  • Warhammer 40k: Boltgun: Let’s stay in the franchise, because Boltgun is definitely worth a recommendation – at least if you like retro shooter fare. Because the gameplay here is still straightforward and fast-paced, just like three decades ago. (14 Euroreduced by 35 percent)

  • Necromunda: Hired Gun: Oh, you know what? You want Warhammer? You get Warhammer! As we all know, all good things come in threes, so shooter fans are unlikely to go wrong if they grab this one. After all, in Necromunda you explore the darkest corner of the Warhammer universe and that’s saying something! (10 Euroreduced by 75 percent)
  • SUPERHOT: Probably the only first-person shooter in which time only moves forward when you move. This not only makes for a visual spectacle, but also demands a lot of brainpower from you, because of course you also have to keep an eye on the bullets whizzing through the air at all times. (7 Euroreduced by 70 percent)
  • EXFIL: A tactical first-person shooter based on the extraction principle. Your team competes against three other teams and first has to gather important information before it has to get out of the mission area in one piece. The game has not yet been released, but a free demo will be available for the first time at FPS Fest This trailer gives you a foretaste:

  • Neon White: Slaughter demons with the help of cards. Sounds weird? Welcome to Neon White! This shooter is unconventional, but according to the extremely positive Steam user reviews, it’s obviously more than worth a look. (14 Euroreduced by 40 percent)
  • Hell Let Loose: An atmospheric world war shooter that we describe as a single torture and yet reward with a very high rating . How does that fit together? Tip 1: Read the two linked articles. Tip 2: Take a closer look at the game in the sale. (36 Euroreduced by 35 percent)
  • System Shock: The remake of the cult shooter from the 90s exudes a similarly dense atmosphere as the original. You fight for life and death in space – against whom? Well, against the scariest AI of all time, of course! Tip: Play the demo before you buy. (18 Euroreduced by 55 percent)

  • Bioshock: The Collection: Not one, not two, but three incredibly atmospheric first-person shooters whose game worlds and stories will leave you stunned in front of the screen more than once. Whether underwater or in the air, Bioshock always rocks! (12 Euroreduced by 80 percent)
  • Forgive Me Father: In this dark shooter, you explore a world that has completely succumbed to madness. The problem: you too can go mad, so you have to keep an eye on your mental as well as your physical condition. (10 Euroreduced by 50 percent)

I don’t like Steam, where else can I save money?

As always, we don’t want to ignore the alternatives to Steam. There may not be any shooter sales there at the moment, but you can still save money, and not too little

At GOG you can expect several discount promotions, such as a Games with Depth Sale and a Awesome Soundtracks Sale

In Epic Store there are also great discounts on a variety of games

So far the first offers for the Steam FPS Fest. We will of course provide you with more deals as soon as the starting signal has been given. It’s best to leave the article open in a separate tab and we’ll see you here again tonight, okay? See you later!
