This time, the journey takes you to the kingdom of Eora, a fascinating world full of magic, mystery and dangerous creatures. But a dark threat is spreading: a mysterious plague that affects not only living things, but also the environment itself. Players take on the role of an Aedyr emissary sent to get to the bottom of this scourge. What begins as a mere investigation quickly develops into an adventure full of unexpected twists.
The Dream Scourge – A Curse That Changes Everything
At the center of the story is the so-called Dream Scourge, an eerie disease that destroys not only the body but also the mind of the infected. Those afflicted with it develop grotesque fungal growths and increasingly lose their minds. Driven by an uncontrollable madness, those affected, known as dream slaves, pose a threat to all life.
Players can decide how to deal with the plague – whether they search for a cure or take other paths.Numerous NPCs with their own storiesand goals influence the course of the plot and open up moral dilemmas. Decisions have far-reaching consequences and determine the further course of the journey. The game also features a dynamic dialogue system that allows for individual storylines.
Flexible gameplay and extensive character customization
Avowed relies on a flexible class system that allows players to adapt their playstyle at any time. The choice between fighter, ranger, and mage is not final – as you level up, you can learn, improve, or even redistribute skills. With the in-game currency Skeyt, you can reset skill points, making it possible to develop hybrid fighting styles, such as a warrior with magical attacks.
The character editor, which goes far beyond standard options, has received a great deal of attention. In addition to classic customizations such as hairstyles and facial features, there are unique characteristics such as lamellar skin, gnarled wooden limbs, or horns. If you don’t want to see these visual details permanently, you can optionally disable them during the game.
With a compelling story, a deep world, and flexible gameplay mechanics, Avowed promises an immersive role-playing experience. The release is getting closer – and the anticipation is growing.
