The next update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming on May 27 and will once again improve parkour, fix bugs, and give you a quest.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is getting its next big patch. Update 1.0.5 will be released on May 27 at 4:00 p.m. German time and includes not only a bunch of bug fixes, but also important improvements to the parkour system that many players have been asking for. We’ve summarized the most important new features for you.

What’s in Update 1.0.5?

The big highlight of the patch is definitely the parkour improvements for Naoe (and partly also Yasuke). It should now be easier for us to actually stay on roofs while parkouring, thanks to the following new features:

  • New vertical jump: We can now jump straight up to grab a ledge or edge and pull ourselves up. This is especially useful when there is no wall to run up.

  • Sprint stays on: After climbing, we automatically continue sprinting if we were sprinting before.

  • Sideways and backward jumps: Naoe can now jump further and higher when pushing off sideways or backward.

In addition to the parkour improvements, there is also new content:

  • The pre-order quest A Dog’s Life is now available to all players.

  • As part of an event for Dead By Daylight, there is a new quest that we can start in the hideout once Yasuke has been unlocked as a playable character.

But that’s not all. Update 1.0.5 also includes new features for photo mode, such as time of day changes, poses, and facial expressions, as well as the ability to disable headgear. In addition, there are numerous bug fixes for quests and companions, as well as minor balance adjustments to the in-game economy. The complete patch notes can be found on page 2 of the article.
