In the trailer for the VR flight simulator Aces of Thunder (to the game on Steam), you slip right into the cockpit of legendary fighter planes from World War I and II – including the Red Baron’s Fokker Dr.I, the American P-51 Mustang, the British Spitfire, and the Soviet IL-2.

Over 15 maps—from the Eastern and Western Fronts to the Pacific—and more than 20 faithfully recreated aircraft await you in the game, which is scheduled for release in 2025.

If the word VR puts you off, according to developer Gaijin Interactive, Aces of Thunder can also be played without a headset, but the focus of development is on virtual reality.
