You want to play Fortnite and can’t access the servers? We’ll show you how to find out if your internet line is to blame or Epic Games.

We are often asked if the “Fortnite servers are down” or why you can’t access the Battle Royale map. In this article, we would like to show you how you can check the live status of all Epic Games servers. This includes the item shop, matchmaking and the website.

Fortnite is a first-person shooter that is one of the most popular battle royale games in the world. In addition, the mode costs no money and is financed through in-game purchases – just like some other Esport titles that we would like to introduce to you in this short clip.

Fortnite down? This is how you check the server status

If you want to play a round of Fortnite: Battle Royale but you can’t connect to the servers, then it’s worth taking a look at Epic Games’ server status.

(Go to the server status of Epic Games)

On the page you get a list of different server areas of Epic like for example “Epic Games Store“, “Unreal Engine” or other games like “Rocket League“. On the right side you will find the status. Normally, you should see “Operational” on the right (server running).

If you can read a green “Operational” here in the first line for Fortnite, then there are no problems at Epic Games and therefore you have to look for the error at your end. This means that you simply have to restart the game or the router. If the status is red, you should find out which Fortnite servers are affected. So if you click on Fortnite, you’ll get a view of the following Fortnite servers:

  • Website
  • Game Services
  • Login
  • Groups, Friends and Messages
  • voice chat
  • Matchmaking
  • Statistics and Rankings
  • Item Shop
  • Fortnite Crew

But this service is especially helpful for your own planning. If you want to meet up with others after work or school for a game of Fortnite, it’s worth taking a quick look at the servers. If the servers are down, you can adjust your plans in time. If all servers are up and running, the only thing standing in the way of an epic victory is your skill.
