Final Fantasy XVI will be released next summer exclusively for the PlayStation 5, and as producer Naoki Yoshida now reveals in an interview, you”ll be able to enjoy the console”s power to the fullest.

After 2022 was all about action adventures and souls-likes, 2023 will be the year of JRPGs. This is due in no small part to the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XVI, a gripping adventure game that not only delivers a dark story, but also makes full use of the power of the PlayStation 5. This emerged from a nearly four-hour Japanese interview with Naoki Yoshida. Although the interview was mainly about Final Fantasy XIV, the producer was also able to elicit some information about the upcoming title.

The PlayStation 5 has been on the market for two years now. But so far, no title has really been able to unleash the full power of the console. This is set to change with the release of Final Fantasy XVI. The newest part of the series is supposed to use the enormous power of the PS5, so that there will be no loading times or rendering at all. This is according to a translation made by a Twitter user . An exciting concept that we can hardly wait to see implemented.

Final Fantasy XVI will be released on 22 June first exclusively for the Sony console. Six months later, the title will also be released for the PC. The latest trailer was revealed during The Game Awards 2022, which you can watch here
