A new kickoff glitch is currently making the rounds within the FC 24 community. We show you how to perform the trick

Kick-off bugs and kick-off glitches are probably as old as the FIFA series itself. Even in FC 24, with the right timing, it was sometimes possible to outwit your opponent from the start with a quick passing combination.

But there’s an even easier way! An X-user (formerly Twitter) has now presented a variation with which he regularly catches his opponents on the wrong foot – and all it takes to create this great opportunity is a single perfect pass!

More goals in FC 24: How to execute the kick-off bug

The user with the name “Jamie” shows in a short video clip on the short message platform X how he executes the kick-off bug in both Division Rivals and UT Champions. Although he doesn’t end up scoring every goal, it’s clear to see how well the kickoff glitch works

The first pass is always made from the center circle to the back. As soon as your player receives the ball, you must activate the player lock by pressing both analog sticks (L3 + R3) simultaneously. This will cause the AI to temporarily take over this player.

If this does not work for you, you should check your settings to see if you have switched the feature off at an earlier stage. In the menu, you can find “Player settings” under Game settings -☻ Gameplay.

However, before the player with the ball starts dribbling, you must first select the player you want to control with the right stick. In this variant, you point R3 diagonally upwards to take control of the right winger.

Now all you have to do is sprint up to the height of the defensive line and let the CPU play a steep pass at the right moment (triangle button on PlayStation / Y button on Xbox) to get into a one-on-one situation with the keeper
