After FIFA 23, it’s time to move on to EA Sports FC. However, not much changes in the basic gameplay. Now there’s a first logo.

FIFA 23 was the last … FIFA from EA, because the publisher loses the rights to the corresponding name licence. But football fans don’t have to despair, because the Bolz series will continue as EA Sports FC. So under a new name and then with a new logo. Electronic Arts has now officially revealed what we can expect:

The new EA Sports FC logo revealed

It will probably take quite a while for players of the FIFA series to get used to the new name. After all, the name is firmly etched in the minds of games and football fans. That’s why the new name and also the new logo should symbolise a clear change – at least if EA has its way.

With the triangular logo they have of course also thought of something: The symbol of EA Sports FC is clearly based on the marking above the head of the player character. EA even provides an explanation for this in the course of the official press release:

The design of the new badge was inspired by triangles, a ubiquitous shape in football culture that represents the game in more ways than one.

The triangle has been inextricably linked to EA SPORTS football experiences for decades: From passing techniques to standard situations. From the isometric angle of the first 8bit experiences and the triangular polygons that make up all the pixels in the most modern games, to the legendary scoreboard icon that appears over every professional in every match.

Will everything be different now with EA Sports FC?

Not really. EA Sports FC will stay true to the basic FIFA gameplay. In addition, fans can assume that most of the licences of players and clubs will be retained.

By the way: FIFA wants to make its own FIFA in the future. It will no longer come from EA and will be much better than the publisher’s previous games – at least that’s what FIFA says. Only time will tell what is true and what footballers can expect from it.

What do you think of the official logo of EA Sports DC: Do you like the look or can you do nothing with it? What are your hopes and expectations for EA’s new football game? Let us know in the comments!
