FIFA 23 finally looks better on the PC: Here”s how the graphics change

After a dry spell of two years, FIFA 23 also treats PC players to the next-gen treatment. We summarise the graphical improvements

FIFA 23 also arrives in the present on the PC. With the latest instalment in the football series, PC gamers get the same version as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners. In the two years before, many technical improvements for PC players were still missing.

But what innovations are in it? And how does it look on the PC? We summarise all the info and show you pictures and a new trailer so you can see for yourself

New screenshots show the realistic 3D goal net, spectator crowds with higher levels of detail and variation, and a more detailed turf with even more realistic wear and tear. You can see all of this here:

What can the graphics of FIFA 23 on PC?

A whole range of visual improvements will also benefit PC players of FIFA 23.

  • More detailed pitch: The immaculate turf at the start of the game is covered with even more dynamic tracks as the game progresses, created by players” actions on the pitch.
  • Better net physics: FIFA 23 also gets the latest in simulated 3D nets on PC, which should make hits feel more realistic and satisfying.
  • Improved crowd: The crowd features a higher level of detail. In addition, the crowd consists of more variations of body shapes, heads and clothing.
  • More realistic shadows: Shadows and lighting have been improved to give the characters and gameplay a more authentic look.
  • More realistic trainers coming with their own clothing styles.
  • More diversity: Female referees and linesmen now whistle men”s matches in FIFA 23.
  • Camera improvements: Blur effects in close-ups should make the gameplay look more cinematic.
  • Hypermotion2 AR replays: New replay infos are displayed for free kicks, for example, and are intended to better present ball physics, statistics and player movement. The staging has also been optimised.
  • Optional sound effects for goals, such as sirens or animal sounds.
