A week after a gameplay glitch in FC 24 caused a particular stir, EA seems to have finally got the problem under control. But can it really go on like this?
Touchdown in the Weekend League! What is common practice in the Ultimate Team variant of Madden NFL caused a lot of frustration in FC 24 last weekend.
Due to a curious gameplay glitch, players were able to run unhindered with the ball into the opponent’s goal with the help of a special key combination – and it got even more curious!
FC 24: This is behind the gameplay glitch
As a long-time fan of the soccer simulations from the house of EA, you have already experienced quite a bit. But at the beginning of last week’s edition of UT Champions, fans were once again amazed when an unprecedented glitch suddenly made the rounds in the social networks
In numerous video clips, players could be seen with the ball sticking to the calves of the respective player after canceling the “Catch-a-Spin-Move” (Trickster+ Playstyle required) – or sometimes even to the hand!

What seemed like a funny play at first glance, however, would quickly prove to be an unstoppable tactic in the Weekend League. Because getting the ball back “before the touchdown” proved impossible.
Patch should finally fix game bugs
As a short-term solution, the publisher removed the Playsytle “Trickster+” from the game on Friday evening and replaced it with the conventional variant for all UT cards. So at least for the remaining time a smooth running of the competition could be ensured.
In the meantime the game style has even found its way back into the FIFA successor. In the course of the fourth title update, EA is said to have finally solved the problem. At least that’s what the attached patch notes say. However, the impression of FC 24 so far can raise doubts about this.

So already since the release of the new soccer simulation, graphical errors occur regularly, which should actually have been fixed long ago. In addition, stability problems still diminish the gaming experience.

And even the latest prominent glitch only joins a multitude of curiosities that fans could already admire in FC 24. For example, until recently it was possible to turn a normal Squad Battles match into a three-on-three match, as long as a game of Volta Football was started first.
