FIFA 22 Ultimate Team is coming up with new promo cards for the start of the season. Alongside Real newcomer David Alaba, stars such as Lionel Messi and Romelu Lukaku are obligatory. Our prediction for the Ones-to-Watch candidates.

This summer is marked by top transfers like that of David Alaba and Lionel Messi. Accordingly, the eyes in FIFA 22 are on the special Ones to Watch (OTW) cards.

In FUT 21 there were 28 player cards in the Ones to Watch category. These included Leroy Sané with his move to FC Bayern München or Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, who joined Chelsea FC as new offensive talents. Last year, the OTW cards were very midfield and forward focused with 24 cards.

This year, that could change somewhat due to the quality changes in defence. Besides David Alaba, who was confirmed as an OTW player by EA Sports last Friday, the transfers of Raphaël Varane to Manchester United and Dayot Upamecano to FC Bayern are worth mentioning here. Real legend Sergio Ramos could also receive a special release from EA Sports.
