Even after two years, Elden Ring remains one of the most popular games in the gaming world. With more than 25 million copies sold and a successful DLC like “Shadow of the Erdtree”, which reached five million sales in no time, the game continues to impress. Developer FromSoftware has now released patch 1.15, which focuses primarily on improving performance and eliminating pesky bugs. Players can look forward to an even smoother experience in the dark world of Elden Ring.

While the new patch does not include any major balance adjustments, the studio has fixed numerous technical issues. Glitches in the display of cutscenes, unexpected actions by bosses and incorrect damage calculations for certain weapons are now a thing of the past. These fixes not only contribute to a better gaming experience, but also ensure that Elden Ring continues to build on its high technical quality.

Technical improvements and helpful tips

The extensive list of bug fixes in patch 1.15 shows how seriously FromSoftware takes player feedback. For example, a recurring bug in the “Shadow Keep” cutscene that caused confusion when re-entering the area has been fixed. Issues with certain weapons, such as the Golem Fist, not dealing damage as intended, are now a thing of the past. The reworking of boss enemies, such as the Twinmoon Knightess, ensures that fights are now more plannable and less unpredictable.

In addition to the bug fixes, there are optimizations that specifically affect performance on the PlayStation 5 and PC. PlayStation players can improve the stability of their framerate by using the “Rebuild Database” mode, while PC players should watch out for potential issues with ray tracing. Programs that affect mouse movement can also disrupt performance, so disabling them can help. With these measures in place, Elden Ring remains one of the best-optimized and most supported games of its generation.
