After criticism about the last patch in Diablo IV, developer Blizzard Entertainment not only backs down a bit, but even responds to fans’ wishes.

The update 1.1 in Diablo IV made many fans furious, as many things were addressed here that players could not have imagined even in their wildest dreams. Balancing and gameplay were made worse in many adjustments and ultimately contributed to the negative criticism.

Diablo IV: Changes without justification

The community complained about the lack of communication from the developer regarding certain changes. For one, end-game mechanics were made more difficult, backport timings of dungeons were extended, and world difficulty levels were tied to character levels. Why such adjustments were made is not known at this time.

Developer comes forward and offers hope

The negative criticism over the patch notes doesn’t seem to have flown past the dev team, as Diablo’s Global Community Development Director, Adam Flechter, took to Twitter to announce that the world level cap will be removed.

This shows the team that they are listening to what their players want (at least to some extent). And who knows, maybe the next patch notes will fix the very issues that bother the Nephalem the most in the world of Sanctuary.
