“Thanks for the reminder, you psychos!” reads a YouTube comment with over 41,000 likes. It was posted below the first trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 and pretty much sums up how countless fans feel.

No wonder, because instead of teasing the events of the new season, the roughly one-minute film is dedicated to an emotional look back at the past events surrounding the protagonist David and his traumatic experiences in Night City. The show’s creators confirm once again:David is dead and will not return in season 2.
This has caused a loud echo from the fan community in the comments:
