Content from Edgerunners Season 2

The main focus of this update is the second season of the Netflix series Cyberpunk Edgerunners. In addition to the new radio station HKGN 102.0 FM, which plays songs from the series, you’ll get a new quest called “Clamptown”.

After completing the introductory mission “The Coup” and two tasks from Wakako, you’ll receive a message that leads you to the new mission series. During this series, you’ll also find a five-piece gear set inspired by the former Night City legend King.

The update trailer gives you an overview of the most important new features:

Shooting in Style

Fashion is just as important in Night City as cyberware, so you can look forward to five new clothing sets that you can buy at various stores around the city. Plus, there are Twitch Drops again! If you watch Cyberpunk streamers on the platform long enough, you’ll unlock four new TwinTone skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech.

Your V now also has more options at the hair salon. Some of the NPC hairstyles are now available at your home mirror. If you’re worried that your cyberware no longer matches your style, we can put your mind at ease. You can now customize the appearance of your hand cyberware. Five specialized glamdocs are waiting for customers in Night City and will give your cyberware a new look.

But looks alone aren’t enough to make you look really cool. You’ll only really get that aura when you wield two firearms at the same time—and that’s now possible in Cyberpunk 2077 with the “Double Trouble” perk. This lets you wield two pistols or revolvers from the Power Weapons category with both hands. Preem, Choom!

More Quests, Mods, and Quality of Life

New Quests: Richard Night offers a guided tour of Night City, but—you guessed it—there’s a secret hidden here. You’ll unlock this new quest after the introductory mission once you reach Street Cred Level 15. In another mission, you’ll come across twelve new tarot cards that will earn you a reward once you’ve found them all.

Mod Support: Cyberpunk 2077 is also ramping up its mod support. Thanks to the Mod.io platform, cross-platform modding is now possible in the game. This allows players on all platforms to access community-created content directly within the game. Keep in mind that you cannot unlock achievements with modded save files.

Quality of Life: To make life in Night City a little easier, the inventory menu has been revamped, among other things. You can now find your stuff much faster using filters. If you start a new save file for this update, it’ll also be easier to load the right save in the future, since your 17 save files are now grouped together.

On the next page, you’ll find a detailed list of all the new features and bug fixes.

Did you think you were done with Night City? Well, Night City isn’t quite done with you yet!

The patch notes for the “Edgerunners 2” update (2.5) for “Cyberpunk 2077” are now available, so you can read through them in advance before the update releases on October 22 for PC, Mac (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S; Players on Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac (Mac App Store version) will receive it in the coming days.

Edgerunners Content

  • A new side quest has been added: “Clampdown”, whose story takes place before the events of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2”. To unlock it, you must complete “The Heist” and two missions for Wakako, then wait for a message from her.

The new tarot cards are part of a new side quest, an expansion of Fool on the Hill, which is triggered as soon as one of the new cards is scanned. Collect them all to receive a special reward.
