At the moment there are still many open questions about the big story DLC for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Now we know when there will finally be concrete info.

Someday in 2023, the first and only big story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is supposed to be released: Phantom Liberty. But apart from two trailers, the confirmation of Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba and a handful of info snippets, concrete details are still a long time coming.

More Phantom Liberty in June 2023

This is set to change in June: CD Projekt Red has officially announced that it will kick off the marketing campaign for Phantom Liberty starting this month. This means that fans will finally find out more about the big story DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 in June 2023 at the latest and in the following weeks.

However, we don”t yet know exactly what CD Projekt Red”s plans are. We will have to be patient in this respect for the time being. Theoretically, the Summer Game Fest would take place in June (E3 was cancelled), where Phantom Liberty could also be presented.

But fans can probably also expect one or more new editions of CD Projekt Red”s livestream format Night City Wire, in which Phantom Liberty will be presented in more detail. In preparation for that, you might want to take a look at the latest story trailer for Phantom Liberty:

What we know so far about Phantom Liberty

Phantom Liberty will be the only story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 and is scheduled for release sometime in 2023. For the expansion, Keanu Reeves returns in the role of Johnny Silverhand, while Idris Elba (The Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim) stars as Agent Solomon Reed.

What the plot will revolve around, how extensive Phantom Liberty will be and what all is in the add-on is still open at the moment. But at least we already know: Phantom Liberty beats the big Witcher 3 DLCs Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – because Phantom Liberty will be the most expensive expansion for CD Projekt Red.

We have already summarised what is known about Phantom Liberty so far and what else you should know about the big addon for Cyberpunk 2077 in a series of articles. Just take a look for yourself.

In the meantime, let us know in the comments: What are your hopes and expectations for Phantom Liberty and the future of Cyberpunk 2077 in general? What do you think future updates should definitely bring? How satisfied are you with the current state of the role-playing game? We are curious!
