Former Heroic pro Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen was involved in the CS:GO coaching bug scandal, according to the ESIC, but currently remains unpunished.

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) released a report on Monday that includes allegations against players of CS:GO professional team Heroic. According to the information in the letter, several people involved in the team are said to have known about the coaching bug for which their coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen was banned.

In the ESIC report, Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen was named. According to the report, the Dane, who is currently under contract with OG, is considered an accomplice. Because a voice recording is said to exist in which niko and HUNDEN exchanged information about the bug.

Despite his involvement and knowledge of the abusive mistake, niko will not be punished by ESIC. The 23-year-old Dane suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and ADHD and is said to have been manipulated by DOGS. Accordingly, his case is treated leniently. However, he will receive a warning from ESIC, which could result in further action in the future if he breaks the rules again. This may result in training sessions with the ESIC commissioner, verifying that he has understood the ESIC integrity programme and will comply with it in the future.

The other players investigated were found to be innocent and not in breach of the rules, according to ESIC. These players were Rene “TeSeS” Madsen, Casper “cadiaN” Moller, Johannes “b0RUP” Borup and Martin “stavn” Lund. “In investigating the conduct of these individuals, ESIC was unable to find nearly enough evidence to conclude that these four players were guilty of an offence under the ESIC Integrity Programme. “
