The ESL presents the BIG Clan as a new partner team of the ESL Pro League. In addition to the German organisation, FURIA Esports and Heroic will also be part of the team in the future.

The major participant BIG Clan will be a partner team of the ESL Pro League in the future. As the ESL announced on Thursday, in addition to BIG, the Brazilian organisation FURIA Esports and the following year the Danish organisation Heroic will be added as partners. This increases the number of patner teams from twelve to 15.

BIG and FURIA are among the partner teams of the ESL Pro League with immediate effect. Heroic’s entry is postponed due to the ongoing investigation by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC). The Danes are therefore expected to join in the second half of 2022. The partnership guarantees the three teams permanent participation in the ESL Pro League.

According to the ESL, the teams have raised over US$20 million for the partnership. In addition to the partnership, the Esports organisations are now equal stakeholders in the ESL Pro League, which gives them a say and a share of the revenue.

For the BIG Clan, this is another milestone in consolidating its top international position in esports in general and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in particular. The team around ingame leader Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz will thus have regular opportunities to compete with the world’s elite and benefit from the revenues of the CS Premium League.
