An all-new Warzone? That’s what Call of Duty fans have to look forward to. This is what the future of CoD looks like after the Microsoft takeover.

After Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard for $70 billion, the community is wondering what will happen next. Now there is more information about Call of Duty and the Battle Royale mode Warzone.

Warzone 2 and CoD on the PlayStation

As bloomberg.com reporter Jason Schreier writes, at least the next three spin-offs of the popular shooter series will continue to appear on the PlayStation.

According to this, the Call of Duty parts are still to be released for the Sony console this year and next year. What comes after that seems to be unclear. There is also talk here of a Warzone 2 coming out next year.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 for Next Gen and PC

So in addition to the new Call of Duty spin-offs, the Battle Royale mode is also to be completely revamped. Whether the title will really be ‘Warzone 2’ is unclear. However, the name is supposed to be the programme – a new Battle Royale part.

According to industry insider Tom Henderson, however, ‘Warzone 2’ will only be released for the next-gen consoles and PC. In addition, the weapons from the past will not be integrated.

It is also unclear whether PC players will also have to have the ‘best hardware’ in order to join in the fun.
