Where are the safes in CoD Modern Warfare 2 and how do you open them? In our guide we explain where you can find all three safes.

There are three safes hidden in the campaign of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 that you need a code to open. Not only will you find some loot in each of the safes, but you will also get the Gentleman Thief achievement if you open all three.

In our guide we explain to you where you can find the safes, what’s inside and which codes you need.

1: El Sin Nombre

The first safe is hidden in the mission El Sin Nombre On the first floor of the big house where the mission takes place, you will find Diego’s bedroom. The safe is hidden in one of the cupboards, you can find the code on a picture of Lazar Salgado in the same room.

The code for El Sin Nombre is: 02-02-19

A shotgun and armour await you here as a reward

2&3: Alone

In the mission Alone you will find the last two safes.

Safe 1

In the office of the manager of the coffee shop you will find the safe on the floor next to his desk. Conveniently, the matching code hangs directly on the wall behind this desk, because a 40th birthday is marked on the wall calendar on 10 October. Since in the game it is currently the year 2020, the corresponding year of birth is therefore 1980.

The first code for alone is: 10-10-80

Hidden in this safe is a silenced pistol.

Safe 2

You can find the last safe in the car repair shop, which you can recognise by the lettering El Maistro – Auto Electrico Y Mecanico . On a laptop you can see an open text document that says: Al fondo del garage: 376080 – Spanish for Back of the garage In a small break room you will find the safe in a corner on the floor.

The second code for alone is: 37-60-80

You can get a fancy crossbow in the last safe

The CoD Modern Warfare 2 campaign has been playable for pre-orderers since Thursday, October 20, 2022.
