If you’re determined, you can reach a completely safe sniper hideout on one of the three beta maps. It’s unclear whether this was ever intended to work.
Hiding your position as a sniper is almost impossible in Battlefield 6. The reflection effect of the sights is so strong that even from a kilometer away, you stand out like a decorated Christmas tree in no man’s land.
Snipers therefore try to hide in a safe place that is not easily accessible to enemies. And that is usually very high up, as the beta shows.
Parkour across rooftops
On the “Siege of Cairo” map, many players positioned themselves on a highway during the first beta weekend, from where they could see the entire map. But there is no sign of a staircase or ladder leading down to the street. In the meantime, however, several videos have revealed the secret:
How to get on the overpass (Siege of Cairo)

In the Reddit post above, ImVeryPogYes shows how he gets onto the street. It’s pretty complicated and takes almost two minutes. First, he climbs onto a ruined house, from where he reaches the roof of another house. From there, ImVeryPogYes jumps onto other roofs or glides to them with his parachute. Eventually, he is high enough to hop onto the street.
The well-protected sniper hideout is causing quite a stir on social media. Among other things, fans are unsure whether the developers ever intended the highway to be accessible. While some see the climbing sequence as an exploit, others think that the roofs and the highway should be accessible, or will be in the future:
These roofs are pretty detailed for a place you’re not supposed to be able to get to.
Oh yeah. There are a lot of invisible walls in strange places and buggy hitboxes, but aside from that, there are way too many little ledges and things that look like they were made for parkour across roofs once you’re up there. I wouldn’t be surprised if you can climb up there in the finished game.
It is also being considered that the roofs were still accessible during development, but then removed from the finished map. It is quite possible that the maps will change again before the final release. The developers have also announced changes in other areas, respond to the feedback they have received in other areas as well.
However, fans are not entirely in agreement as to whether they want the roofs as an additional combat zone. While some of them more space on the already quite small map, others argue that the battles would then too chaotic and confusing would be.
However, new routes should be available on all maps by the time the game is released, thanks to a brand-new gadget that has already been seen in trailers. Stormtroopers will get a kind of fold-out ramp that allows them to quickly enter the first floor of a building from the outside. We don’t know exactly how the gadget works yet, though.
