The reveal of Season 7 is just around the corner. In a short teaser, there is now a hint of a well-known faction

The seventh season of Battlefield 2042 is set to launch in March. Details on the topic and the upcoming content are few and far between, but a new teaser now at least provides a hint. In the short video, the symbol of a well-known faction can be seen for a moment

A reference to Battlefield 2142?

In a short video from the official Battlefield channel on Twitter, a news anchor of sorts reports on the formation of a new coalition of various dictators from South America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. This will be called the Thousand Petals Coalition

For a brief moment, however, you can see a symbol that will look familiar to some Battlefield fans. The stylized petals seen above strongly resemble the flag of the Pan Asian Coalition This alliance first appeared as a playable faction in Battlefield 2142 and also appeared as a reference in Battlefield 4 and especially in its expansion Final Stand.

What does that mean?

Since Battlefield 2142 is set in the eponymous year and futuristic weapons and technologies also played a role in Final Stand, the appearance of the symbol could indicate upcoming content in Season 7.

We may end up on a map from Battlefield 2142 or the expansion for Battlefield 4, but we may also get state-of-the-art weapons and equipment. Of course, the possibility that this is just a relatively inconsequential Easteregg cannot be ruled out either

What is already known about Season 7?

The next chapter of Battlefield 2042 is due to be released sometime in March. Hardly any details have been revealed about the new content so far, but we already know that there will even be two new maps this time. There is already a picture of one of them, which you can see in the news item linked above. The map will have us fighting in the streets of a Chilean city
