A new video for the upcoming remake introduces the animal adversaries—such as crocodiles and leopards—that await Lara Croft in the ruins.

The ninth installment of the Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis video series is here and gives you more glimpses of the upcoming remake.

After focusing on Greece as the setting last week, this week’s video is dedicated to the creatures that await you there. Among other things, you’ll get a detailed look at the development process.

Deadly Wildlife: How Enemies Work in Greece

“In Greece, you’ll encounter creatures like the leopard, whose stealth requires quick reflexes and skillful use of acrobatics, as well as the massive crocodile, which has the advantage underwater but can be just as deadly on land,” the article states.

“We’ve introduced a few new creatures for Greece that players will encounter,” reveals Game Director Raul Siqueira. “Part of the challenge in combat is understanding enemy behavior and adapting your playstyle accordingly. As a player, you’re the apex predator; you’re used to entering these ruins and rooms, you’re used to calling the shots there, and you’re used to being the most dangerous force on the scene.”

Switch 2 Support and a Look Ahead to Catalyst

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis launches on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2.

At gamescom last month, Alex got a closer look at the game and spoke with the developers about the remake of the first installment.

Aside from Legacy of Atlantis, a brand-new spin-off titled Tomb Raider: Catalyst is also currently in development. However, its release was postponed this summer to 2028.
