The upcoming Call of Duty Halloween event introduces the Doom Slayer as a playable operator.
The Doom protagonist arrives as part of what is expected to be the final content season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as part of “The Haunting” update, which launches on September 17.
The Doom Slayer operator’s look is inspired by the latest installment in the shooter series: Doom: The Dark Ages. At the same time, however, there’s also a Doomguy skin that’s visually more in line with the classic Doom games.
BFG, Crucible Blade, and Event Pass: Here’s What the Doom Crossover Has to Offer
Of course, the legendary arsenal of weapons from the Doom games is a must-have. Here, the developers provide you with a shotgun, the Crucible Blade, and the BFG, among other things.
The Event Pass, which unlocks the Doom content, will be available starting September 24. Through a free track, you’ll receive additional Doom-inspired extras, including a UAC scientist and a researcher, weapon charms, and more. The Doom Slayer skin and weapon blueprints are available through the premium track.
In addition, The Haunting features a nighttime version of the Avalon map, spooky new additions and enemies for Black Ops 7’s endgame mode, as well as limited-time multiplayer modes and new maps.
Farewell to Black Ops 7: All Eyes Are on Modern Warfare 4
This is likely the last major farewell update for Black Ops 7 before the series continues with Modern Warfare 4 in October.
In the upcoming installment of the series, the DMZ mode will be massively expanded, and the game will launch on the Switch 2 at 60 fps. Additionally, the annoying shader compilation on PC is set to come to an end, and a new multiplayer experience called Kill Block awaits you.
