As part of the THQ Nordic Showcase, the Early Access title is getting a new class. Starting now, as a Summoner, you can command undead servants such as the Eidolon Guards.
Last year, the THQ Nordic Showcase marked the launch of Early Access for the action RPG Titan Quest 2. This year, the next major update is being released to celebrate the occasion.
The latest update for the game introduces the Spirit Mastery. With it, you command the powers of life and death. You can play as either a Sorcerer or a Summoner. The latter simply lets their minions do the work for them.
Summonings and Free Class Creation
“Whether you rely on the disciplined Eidolon Guards—the spirits of fallen heroes—or summon the mighty Athanekros: Your summons will effortlessly form the backbone of your build,” the developers say.
In Titan Quest 2, you can, among other things, create your own class by combining two masteries. Ability modifiers, attributes, and items all influence what your hybrid class will ultimately look like and what playstyle it will have.
Early Access Wrap-Up and Updates So Far
Benjamin Schmädig took a look at the action RPGat the start of Early Access. At the time, he wrote: “Overall, Path of Exile 2 is currently the better Early Access game for me. However, I feel a bit more at home in the setting of ancient Greece. And it’s definitely great that Titan Quest 2 has so unexpectedly awakened from its self-imposed slumber! Of course, Grimlord Games still has work ahead of them—the Early Access phase will last until at least next year. For us players, though, the wait seems to have been well worth it.”
Since then, numerous updates have been released for Titan Quest 2, such as inApril with the return of summonsand a way to save your experience points.
