In the August update for the naval MMO, Wargaming is treating you to the new currency “Mariner’s Coins,” the “Noble Lombard” campaign, and tons of steel.

Wargaming is celebrating the seventh anniversary of its naval MMO, World of Warships: Legends, with a major August update. This update includes anniversary celebrations, rewards, and a brand-new game mode.

Through a daily calendar, a web-based treasure hunt event, and other promotions, you can earn “Mariner’s Coins” as currency during the anniversary celebration. These can be exchanged for various rewards, including two new and rare ships: the Soviet Tier V Premium battleship “Novorossiysk” and the Spanish Tier VIII Premium cruiser “Almirante Oquendo.”

You can also get your hands on “Explorer Chests,” which contain birthday rewards from past years, while the “Grand Explorer Chest” gives you the chance to secure exclusive golden ships or the German Tier VIII legendary battleship “Mecklenburg.”

New Game Mode and the “Noble Lombard” Campaign

This update also introduces the “Modern Times” mode. It is available for a limited time and features ships inspired by the late Cold War era and equipped with advanced armaments. According to Wargaming, this mode will be available in the next two updates and allows you to participate in both PvP and PvE battles. Among the rewards awaiting you here is a Tier VI light premium cruiser from the Commonwealth.

At the same time, the “Noble Lombard” campaign is launching, which will run for five weeks. It includes 100 milestones and numerous rewards. At the end, players with active Admiralty Support will receive the Italian Tier VIII Premium cruiser “Ferrante Gonzaga.”

New U.S. Aircraft Carrier and Additional Steel Rewards

Also newly added to the game is the Franklin D. Roosevelt, a brand-new legendary U.S. aircraft carrier with immense firepower, which can be purchased with Steel in the “Forge” section of the shop.

If you want to earn more Steel, you can do so in the new ranking seasons, where double the usual amount is awarded. You can also earn more of this resource through the “Endless Trials” in the “Noble Lombard” campaign, “Premium Supplies” missions, and the special “Steel Hunter” mission.
