Nintendo will reveal more details about Fortune’s Weave tomorrow
Nintendo describes the game’s plot as follows: “Under the rule of the gods, the Dagda Empire grew and flourished for 1,500 years. The Hero Games are held in the capital, Dagsion. The winner will have a wish granted. Mighty warriors from across the land have gathered to compete.”
Our four heroes are Cai, who wants to free his father from the dungeon; Dietrich, an ambitious swordsman; Theodora, a queen who wants the best for her homeland; and Leda, a vengeful musician. A wild bunch of beautifully designed characters.
You’ll fight, and between battles, you can improve your forces and combat techniques and recruit new allies.
If you’re excited about this new turn-based RPG, mark August 4 on your calendar. At 4:00 p.m. German time, there will be a 20-minute stream here packed with new information about the Switch 2 exclusive title.
The last wave of info came in June. That’s when we learned that *Fortune’s Weave* is set to release in mid-September. It’s been three years since a new title in the series was released. Yes, *Fire Emblem: Engage* came out in 2023. Time flies.
But at least it keeps bringing us back to the point where we can step onto the chessboard… er… battlefield with our newly recruited NPCs and rack our brains over our next move. In the material released so far, we’ve already been able to admire the first attacks and magic spells, which look just like classic Fire Emblem.
