All opening hours and visitor days for gamescom 2026

gamescom 2026 will take place from August 26 to 30 in Cologne and, of course, online as well.Once again this year, the expo promises to be one of the biggest video game events of the year. Here’s a quick overview of the expo’s opening hours:

  • Wednesday, August 26:9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (trade visitors) and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Wildcard holders)
  • Thursday, August 27:10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 28:10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 29:9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 30:9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

As usual, gamescom kicks off on Wednesday with Trade and Media Day. On this day, general admission visitors can only enter the exhibition halls starting at 1:00 p.m. with the limited-edition and more expensiveWildcard (65.50 euros)

From Thursday through Sunday (August 27–30), gamescom 2026 will be open to all visitors daily until 8:00 p.m.

Tickets and Prices – Here’s How Much It Costs to Attend gamescom 2026

Anyone who wants to stroll through the gamescom halls in August must purchase a ticket online. As usual, tickets cannot be purchased on-site.Here’s an overview of this year’s ticket prices.

Price for Wednesday (Trade and Media Day)

  • Wildcard Day Pass(from 1:00 p.m.): 65.50 euros

Prices for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday

  • Day Pass:31.50 euros
  • Reduced-price day ticket:22.50 euros
  • Family day ticket:69.50 euros
  • Evening ticket(from 4:00 p.m.): 10.50 euros

Prices for Saturday

  • Day pass:41.00 euros
  • Reduced-price day pass:32.00 euros
  • Family day pass:86.00 euros
  • Evening ticket(from 4:00 p.m.): 13.00 euros

Advance ticket sales have already begun;you can purchase tickets directly on the official gamescom website.

The ticket price for 2026 also includes apublic transit passfrom the Rhein-Sieg Transport Association (2nd class). This allows you to use public transportation in Cologne for travel to and from the event during the trade show period. The pass will be sent separately as a PDF and is valid only with a photo ID.

Ticket prices have risen again this year.For comparison: In 2025, a one-day ticket (Thursday, Friday, Sunday) cost 30.50 euros, a family ticket 68 euros, and a discounted ticket 22 euros.
