In Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, there are far more secrets hidden than the map markers suggest. It’s very easy to miss a secret sea shanty.

As befits a good pirate adventure, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced hides quite a few treasures where no one would expect them—not even the game’s map markers.

The community has already tracked down secret chests deep in the ocean; now, treasure hunters are discovering a secret sea shanty hidden right in your home port of Nassau. And we’ll tell you how to get your hands on this sailor’s tale!

Location of the Secret Sea Shanty in Black Flag Resynced

You can unlock this secret early in the game, as Nassau is one of the first locations that pirate scion Edward Kenway visits in the campaign. Specifically, you’ll need to go to map coordinates 597,767. To view the map coordinates, open the map and move the cursor to any point. You’ll see the coordinates in parentheses below the cursor.

As a reference point, you can use the gun shop right at the northern harbor of Nassau, slightly southwest of the ship dealer. Or just south of the large landing dock:

Once you reach the correct coordinates, look for a cheerful drunkard humming to himself. You’ll need to stand in front of him and listen to his musical ramblings for about30 seconds, then a white diamond will appear above his head and you can talk to him. He’ll thank you for your interest and reward you with the sea shanty “Home Across The Sea.”

As mentioned, the Sailor’s Music isn’t the first unmarked treasure the community has tracked down. Back in mid-July, just a few days after release, people discovered several chests in the middle of the ocean, including the stylish Explorer Outfit, which Ubisoft had actually planned to unveil weeks later as a little surprise gift.

Particularly bizarre: User -Holliday claims to have discovered the secret by accident because he found the rock formation on the surface interesting and simply decided to take a chance and dive at that one spot in the entire ocean. We’d love to have that kind of luck sometime, too.
