Cinder City requires at least 32 GB of storage, but even more is recommended.

The South Korean development team Big Fire Studios is currently causing a stir in the gaming community:The developers have published the official system requirementsfor their upcoming open-world shooter Cinder City on Steam, setting new standards in the process.

Set in a dystopian Seoul of the near future, the game breaks with current PC standards and requires PC gamers to have 32 gigabytes of RAM even for minimum settings, while 64 gigabytes are recommended for the optimal gaming experience.

Update, July 3:The developers have since adjusted the recommended system requirements for the game. Instead of 64 GB of RAM, the requirement is now 32 GB, matching the minimum specification listed on the

Extremely High RAM Requirements

The published system requirements are very high, especially in terms of memory, even for the minimum configuration. With 32 GB of RAM, Cinder City demands more than most gaming PCs, according toValve hardware survey on Steam

64 gigabytes of RAM is recommended. Here, too, the developers are pushing the limit higher, but they aren’t the first to do so, as titles likeEscape From Tarkovalso require this amount.

The remaining requirements are far less demanding. The minimum specs start with an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB of VRAM, and 50 GB of hard drive space.

The recommended specs are at least an Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 with 8 GB of VRAM.

The exact data in detail

As of May 2026, according to the Steam survey, fewer than 44 percent of Steam players own PCs with 32 gigabytes of RAM or more. Of these, nearly 37 percent have exactly 32 gigabytes—the minimum required by the developers.

Fewer than five percent of all Steam players own PCs with 64 GB of RAM or more. Only these PCs meet the requirements set by the developers for the recommended settings.
