Following the largest map for Battlefield 6 to date, things are getting personal again with Cairo Bazaar. The remake of the classic is now playable, and fans are having a blast with it.
Battlefield 6continues to spark debate with its maps: For many players, most battlefields are simply too small, and they’d like to see more maps per season.
The latest season also features only two new maps: Railway to Golmud was already the largest map in the game to date. The second new map is the remake of Grand Bazaar from Battlefield 3, which fans say is small but mighty.
What are fans saying about Cairo Bazaar?
Cairo Bazaar is pretty much the opposite of Railway to Golmud. Here, we fight in the narrow alleys of Cairo’s old town in a very confined space. While tanks are allowed to play, they don’t have it quite as easy as on large All-Out Warfare maps.
Just like its predecessor from Battlefield 3, the small map has been well-received by fans so far, as a glance at the major subreddits reveals:
I give this map 10 out of 10 points—they nailed it!
Honestly, this might be the best map in the game.
I was pleasantly surprised that it started raining while I was running around.
The destruction, in particular, is cinematic […]. The map layout offers the perfect balance between infantry and vehicles, and there is also much more space for the latter than on Siege of Cairo.
Some players view the new map more critically, perhaps because they generally prefer large maps with lots of vehicles, or because they don’t like the many positional battles at chokepoints. However, the positive feedback outweighs the negative.
By the way, the major update released alongside Cairo Bazaar includes plenty of other changes and new content. In addition to the PP-19 submachine gun, there’s a new event, an additional game mode, and various balancing changes and bug fixes. Plus, those annoying orange dots on weapons and skins finally disappear once we’ve unlocked everything!
