On May 27, 2026, the time will have comeand you’ll be sneaking around the world as the legendary agent James Bond, putting a stop to evil villains on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-loading has already begun, though only on one platform.

Which platforms get a preload?
Only the PlayStation 5 gets a preload, allowing you to download the game before its release. The PC and Xbox Series X/S get nothing at all.
When does the preload start?All players on the PS5 can start the preload right now.
It’s not possible to say exactly yet, but there is already some meaningful information available.
How big is 007 First Light?
- PC:On Steam, the system requirements statethat you need 80 GB of free storage space for the PC version.
- PlayStation 5: Version 1.0, which you also receive via preload, is 46 GB in size. According to the established leaker, the Day One patch requiresPlayStation Game Sizean additional 25 GB. Of course, this is still subject to change.
- Xbox Series X/S: Information on the version for Microsoft’s console is not yet available.
Why only on the PS5?
A developer from IO Interactive explainsin the game’s subreddit why there is a preload on the PlayStation 5.
“I regret to confirm that 007 First Light will not have a preload on Steam and Xbox. (…) PlayStation will be the only platform with a preload, as it is mandatory there.”
Unfortunately, the developer does not elaborate on why the versions on Steam and the Xbox Series X/S will not have a preload.
