The full version of Forza Horizon 6 has apparently leaked onto torrent sites a week before its release. Tens of thousands are reportedly already playing, while Microsoft remains silent.

Microsoft and Playground Games are likely frantically trying to figure out who pressed the wrong button:Forza Horizon 6has apparently leaked online as a full version over a week before its official release—and internally, there are probably some very uncomfortable conversations ahead.

The racing game isn’t actually set to be released untilMay 19, 2026for Xbox Series X/S and PC, though buyers of the Premium Edition can hit the road as early asMay 15. Officially, no one should be racing through the Japanese open world yet—at least not outside of review builds or internal access.

Nevertheless, tens of thousands of players now have access to the leaked PC version.

What happened?

Apparently, a complete, unencrypted build of Forza Horizon 6 was made available via Steam.& nbsp;Insider Gamingreports a 155 GB leak, onSteamDBthe game files are already fully available for viewing.

The incident is also already being discussed in the Forza subredditdiscussed. It states that the files have since been distributed via piracy sites and torrents and have already been cracked. Players are also sharingscreenshots there to prove that they are indeed already playing the game.

For a game of this magnitude, this is a massive setback:Forza Horizon 6 is one of the most important Xbox releases of the year, launching directly on Game Pass and bringing the open-world racing series to Japan for the first time—a setting fans have been asking for for years.

The leak comes at the worst possible time

Official Early Access starts on May 15, 2026, with the regular launch following on May 19, 2026. That means: While honest buyers still have to wait, software pirates are already zooming through Japan.

And yes, the joke practically writes itself: “Spoiler alert: Forza has cars and roads.”

But a leak for a Horizon game isn’t quite as inconsequential as that. After all, the series thrives on you exploring the new map for the first time, discovering shortcuts, and stumbling upon barn finds.

If screenshots, videos, vehicle lists, map details, or endgame content from the leaked build start appearing online now, it’s likely to be difficult for many fans to stay spoiler-free until release.

What does this mean for you?

If you want to experience Forza Horizon 6 spoiler-free, you should be careful on Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, and X in the coming days. Especially with a leak of this magnitude, it likely won’t be long before leaked content starts popping up everywhere.

Of course, you should also steer clear of downloading the version. Aside from legal issues, you could also end up with malware.

At least there’s still one major trump card left for the official launch: the online mode. Forza Horizon in particular thrives on online modes and leaderboards—none of which will work in a cracked version.

So far, Microsoft and Playground Games have not yet commented publicly on the leak. Accordingly, it remains unclear whether the release might now be brought forward—which we consider extremely unlikely—or whether both companies will sit this out and stick to the original schedule.
