Patch 12.0.5 for WoW: Midnight offers new ways to get better loot and upgrade your gear.
In one week, Patch 12.0.5—a major content update for WoW: Midnight—will be released. It includes numerous new activities that allow you not only to earn gear but also to upgrade it. We’ve got an overview of all the new features for you. The patch goes live onApril 22, 2026.

Void Assaults
Alternating weekly between the Immersang Forest and Zul’Aman, so-calledVoid Assaultstake place, in which the Void’s strike forces attack a random area.
If enough incursions are repelled, Void Invasionsoccur. These are larger scenarios that require multiple players to complete.
Ritual Sites
These aresmall instances for one to five players. As with the Depths, you unlock higher difficulty levels to earn even better rewards.
Void Assaults and Ritual Sites count as open-world content that you use to upgrade the Grand Treasury. Both activities grant youField Medals, which you can exchange for Heroic and Champion gear.
The Void Forge
In the Void Storm, you and Decimus build the Void Forge by collecting nebulous Void Coresfrom raids, Mythic dungeons, the Generous Depths, and Nightmare-level loot hunts.
Once you’ve unlocked the Forge, you can use the same methodsto obtain Ascending Void Coreswith which youcan upgrade weapons and trinkets
Decoration Duels
A PvP mode thatworks like Prophunt. While one team transforms into objects and tries to hide in Silvermoon, the other must find them. Of course, the reward is decorative items for housing.
Deepsea Fishing
A new activity in Zul’Aman where you put on diving gear and try to spearfish in the depths of the ocean. You earn points for this, which you can then use to upgrade your equipment so you can dive deeper and longer.
There are achievements and cosmetics as rewards. You can also catch rare creatures and discover treasures.
