A job advertisement gives reason to hope that the release in November will work out
238 days – that’s how long it will be until GTA 6 is released. That is, of course, if nothing comes up. To prevent this from happening, Rockstar is currently looking for test players. Although the new Grand Theft Auto is not officially named, there will be a lot of QA testing for the studio’s major project, for which employees are needed.
Is GTA 6 entering the final development phase?
Rockstar’s Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Priyanka Mourya announcedvia LinkedInthat the studio in Bengaluru, India, is looking for new QA testers. There it says:
We are actively looking for talented game testers for our studio in Bengaluru. If you have a passion for games, this could be the ideal position for you.
The hashtags under the post only mentionGTA 5andRed Dead Redemption 2as specific games, but with the upcoming release of GTA 6, it is likely that testers are also being sought for this game.
Interestingly, Priyanka Mourya made an identical call back in Januarybut GTA 6 waslisted in the hashtags.
The high demand for QA testers now clearly indicates that Rockstar is approaching the home stretch in the development of GTA 6 and wants to put the game through its paces for release.
What do QA testers actually do at Rockstar?
Basically, the Quality Assurance department, which is what QA stands for, ensures that a product or, in Rockstar’s case, a game meets the set quality standards and contains as few errors as possible.
As can be read in theofficial job descriptionQA testers at Rockstar “find, reproduce and document” bugs and inconsistencies in games.
The QA employees follow specific testing procedures and write detailed bug reports on everything they find.
Fans will find out whether everything went smoothly on November 19, 2026 – unless there is another postponement. GTA 6 will initially be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There are currently no concrete details about a PC release.
