The well-known mod “Death Wish” for the classic first-person shooter “Blood” has received a significant update with version 2.0. This revised version is available both via ModDB and as part of the Nightdive remaster of “Blood”, making it easier for a wide range of players to access. Mod developer Bloatoid has announced that all original maps have either been updated or completely reworked.

New episode and expanded content

A highlight of version 2.0 is the introduction of a fourth episode, which has been seamlessly integrated into the existing storyline. This new episode significantly expands the game experience by taking the player from the dark depths of an ancient tomb to a futuristic museum. In total, “Death Wish 2.0” now includes 48 maps, which significantly exceeds the original 32 maps of the original game “Blood”.

Musical and visual additions

In addition to the new episode, the update features a specially composed soundtrack by Speedy and Sjellos. New cutscenes that introduce the beginning of each episode further enrich the gaming experience. These additions help to increase the atmospheric density of the game and immerse the player even deeper into the dark world of “Blood”.

Availability and further projects from Nightdive

“Death Wish” is available as a free update for owners of “Blood: Fresh Supply”, but can also be downloaded separately via ModDB. Nightdive Studios is now focusing on the highly anticipated project “Sin: Reloaded”, which was originally announced in 2020. However, a concrete release date for this project is still missing.
