Atlus has released a new update for Persona 3 Reload on the Nintendo Switch 2. With version 1.03, the publisher is responding to criticism of the technical implementation and, above all, significantly improving the frame rate in TV mode.
60fps in performance mode
The most important change concerns docked mode. When the game is run in performance mode, the Switch 2 version now targets a frame rate of 60 frames per second.
At its market launch in October, Persona 3 Reload still ran at 30fps on the console, which many players perceived as the biggest weakness of the port.
Improved stability in handheld and TV mode
In addition to the higher target frame rate, Atlus has also worked on overall stability. According to the patch notes, the frame rate has been optimized in both TV and handheld modes.
The developer does not provide specific figures, but speaks of an overall smoother performance in both modes.
Demo update announced
The free demo will also benefit from the adjustments. Atlus confirmed that a corresponding update for the trial version will be released in the coming days. An exact date has not yet been announced.
Patch notes at a glance
The official changes in version 1.03 are as follows:
- Performance mode in TV mode with a target of 60fps
